BLACKLOCK, CANARY WHARF
Blacklock was born from a love of the traditional London Chophouse, celebrating values which resonates with our design approach – reliable, honest, welcoming and unpretentious. We worked with Blacklock to design their 5th and largest restaurant in Canary Wharf. Nestled in a standalone warehouse on the North Dock, the restaurant sits under the railway tracks and next to the waterside. Inspired by the speakeasy bars and restaurants found under the bridges in New York City, we installed crittall-style windows and a palette of reclaimed finishes and raw materials including exposed concrete finishes and warm timber finishes sourced from a local school. The distant rumble of the trains above compliments the restaurants energy and buzzing atmosphere.
